January 7, 2003 2003 California Teacher of the Year Banquet. Not the greatest day. I came late to the reception.


January 2003 Finished year twenty five of teaching. Began teaching in January 1978 at Mira Loma High School

January 28, 2003 2003 Sacramento Teacher of the Year Kings Game vs. Utah Jazz.

February 14, 2003 Bobby Jackson comes to Del Campo for a press conference for my Sacramento County Teacher of the Year award.


March 4, 2003 Shrine Hospital visit


March 26, 2003 20th Anniversary. Trip to Mark Hopkins in San Francisco.

May 16, 2003 California Distinguished Schools Ceremony at the Disneyland Hotel

June 5, 2003 Zoe graduates from sixth grade at Dewey Fundamental. Gives speech.

June 21-27, 2003 CSPA Summer workshop.

June 29-July 13 2003 (Europe trip 12) Rome. Firenze (Bencista). Milan. Trip with Christine to Italy. the 20/50 trip. Christine turns 50. We have been married 20 years.



July 22, 2003 Christine turns 50.

October 7-9, 2003 Travelled to Washington DC for the High School Leadership Summit at the Washington Hilton as a California Teacher of the Year

November 13, 2003 Kate Water Polo Playoffs



November 2003 (Europe trip 13) ECIS convention in Hamburg with Sue and the kids. Then visited Copenhagen, Denmark. I loved Tivoli in the winter.
